The Master of Science in Health Informatics is an online format designed for working professionals from both the healthcare and technology industries. The program addresses the critical shortage of health informatics professionals in New England and the nation by giving students the ability to capture, analyze, and share data in an evolving technical landscape. To lead this transformation, the Northeastern Health Informatics Graduate Program educates professionals to combine technical understanding, an understanding of business processes, and a familiarity with clinical processes and workflows.

Admission requirements According to Northeastern University, to be eligible for admission to the Master of Health Informatics program, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • A 3.0 undergraduate GPA (work experience is also recognized in demonstrating a candidate’s readiness for graduate coursework)

Additional requirements for international students:

  • TOEFL or IELTS is required for international students whose primary language of instruction was not English. Students with a TOEFL score below 95 or IELTS below 7.5 will be admitted only as an exception.
